Hey everyone,
I’ve got a small chip on my windshield and I’m thinking about doing a DIY windshield chip repair instead of going to a shop.
From what I’ve seen, the process is pretty simple—apply resin into the chip, remove trapped air, and cure it with UV light or sunlight. Some systems, like Ultra Bond, use better-quality resin and injector tools that push the resin deeper into the damage, which supposedly gives stronger and clearer results.
But I’m still unsure…
? Does DIY repair actually last long-term?
? Is it worth buying a good kit or should I just go to a professional?
Would love to hear your real experiences before I try it
