Flat die pellet machine

The flat die pellet machine is a mechanical device used to compress various raw materials into dense pellets. It plays an important role in the production of biomass energy and animal feed. Compared with the ring die pellet mill, the flat die pellet mill is particularly suitable for small-scale producers and start-ups due to its simple structure, low cost and easy maintenance.

Flat die pellet mills offer three key advantages to users: first, they can convert loose, low-value raw materials into high-density, easy-to-store pellet products; second, they improve the energy density and combustion efficiency (for biomass fuel) or nutritional utilization (for animal feed) of raw materials through the compression process; third, they provide small-scale producers with an economically viable pelletizing solution without the need for large-scale investment.

The working principle of the flat die pellet machine is based on the physical process of high pressure extrusion and temperature increase, which converts loose raw materials into dense and uniform pellets.

First, the pre-treated raw materials enter the machine through the feed hopper and fall onto the surface of the flat die. Then, the rotating roller forces the material into the die hole on the flat die, during which the material is subjected to tremendous pressure. Under the action of high pressure, the temperature of the material rises, and the natural adhesives (such as lignin or starch) in it are activated, playing a bonding role. Finally, the cylindrical material squeezed through the die hole is cut into pellets of appropriate length by a fixed blade, completing the entire pelletizing process.

The multifunctional characteristics of the flat die pellet machine have made it widely used in many fields, from biomass energy production to animal feed processing. This flexible equipment is helping users create higher value around the world. With the popularization of sustainable development concepts and the advancement of the circular economy, the application prospects of flat die pellet machines continue to expand.
